6-sigma and Lean

In common use for many years in manufacturing environments, six-sigma and lean remain popular concepts with many public sector organisations seeking to implement one or the other.

Since a “one size fits all” approach rarely delivers meaningful client benefits, Crocodilio does not advocate the implementation of either methodology as a project in its own right. 

Instead, we believe it is preferable to work with clients to understand the issues they face and then develop appropriate solutions that draw on the relevant aspects of six-sigma and lean – combining these with a range of other approaches – rather than attempting to “force” a project to fit a particular pre-defined solution.
